This is an engaging 2-hour talk that explores the philosophy and history of Ayurveda, the science of daily living.

Originally conceived in Northern India more than 20,000 years ago, Ayurveda is widely practiced throughout the world to this day as the alchemy of good health.

The class will introduce the concept of the Doshas – Vata, Pitta, Kapha – and the qualities they represent as well as the logic behind the Elemental Philosophy: Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth.

Learn how to recognize the way the conditions of hot, cold, wet, and dry affect your body and how symptoms and emotions influence your body’s ability to maintain a healthy balance.
