Introduction to Ayurveda with Sonia (Hari) Cook

This is an engaging 2-hour talk that explores the philosophy and history of Ayurveda, the science of daily living.

Originally conceived in Northern India more than 20,000 years ago, Ayurveda is widely practiced throughout the world to this day as the alchemy of good health.

The class will introduce the concept of the Doshas – Vata, Pitta, Kapha – and the qualities they represent as well as the logic behind the Elemental Philosophy: Ether, Air, Fire, Water and Earth.

Learn how to recognize the way the conditions of hot, cold, wet, and dry affect your body and how symptoms and emotions influence your body’s ability to maintain a healthy balance.

Full Moon Yin Yoga Series
May 4 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm

Cultivate Self-love while balancing the meridian system through a deeply meditative practice. Yin yoga postures are held for an extended period of time, creating the space to explore compassion and self-love while integrating healing mantras Meredith shares throughout the practice.

Awareness, compassion, crystal singing bowls and singing with the harmonium will be woven throughout the class to invite a state of relaxation and rejuvenation.
