The dhyana Center (pdf) was born from a desire to educate each individual about how the body functions, that there is an innate healing ability within all of us and what can be done to stay healthy.
The philosophy of Ayurveda is a unique approach that provides specific individualized information about health.
By recognizing elemental theory (hot, cold, wet, dry), and the Doshas (Vata, Pitta, Kapha) we can achieve better balance by understanding our symptoms emotionally and physically.
The better we become at recognizing what the symptoms are telling us, the more we can address the issue. At that point, knowing which tools (food, herbs, treatments, etc.) to utilize for change becomes the key.

DeAnna Batdorff is the founder of the dhyana Center, as well as its primary educator and practitioner. She has also created a full line of the finest quality self-care and spa products . DeAnna practices Ayurveda and Clinical Aromatherapy , and integrates both types of alternative medicine throughout all products, services and educational endeavors. She has over 20 years of clinical experience in Therapeutic Massage Techniques, Tibetan-Ayurvedic Medicine, Clinical Aromatherapy , Esthiology (skincare), Whole Food Nutrition, Western Herbology, Pregnancy-Childbirth Support and Auto-Immune Conditions.

The center is nestled in a beautiful retreat-like setting in Sonoma County, California. You may call us at any time if you have questions or would like to make an appointment. We can accommodate overnight stays if you are coming from out of town.
