In June & July, Jen will be teaching a 2-weekend class series looking at Western Herbs through an Ayurvedic lens, followed by a 2-part Intro to Herbal Medicine Making class on the Mondays after weekend classes. The class will cover Ayurvedic energetics, herbal actions, body systems, and materia medica, including some first aid remedies and techniques. Some basic understanding of Ayurved helpful, but not required.

Six week Intensive and Ten month Training Programs - Sign up Now!
Designed to deepen understanding of the human body, this training uses Ayurvedic and Tibetan Elemental Theory to explore and explain the dimensions of integrated health. Through listening to the emotions, symptoms, and signals provided by the body, you will learn applications for philosophy, the diagnostic tools of tongue, face, pulse, aromatherapy, herbal preparations, whole food nutrition, bodywork and Pancha Karma. The program, taught in an experiential format, is for both beginners and experienced practitioners. We offer two scheduling formats to support the student: three intensive two-week sessions, or one three-day weekend monthly for ten months. Please call for more information.

We will explore the changes that are possible through Ayurvedic massage and Pancha Karma treatments. We will also discuss client relations- how to listen well and present options. This class is designed to prepare you to utilize all of your tools.

Putting it all together
Pancha Karma - We will discuss client intake charts, the importance of listening, and how to build a clientele. We will work on clients and each other during this class. We will end with a client, during which we will tend to them physically and emotionally, and take them through the full Panch Karma process- assessments, pulse, cooking, preparations, and treatments (ghee eye bath, sweats, scrubs, etc.). Theory and when to administer various treatments will be covered as well as review and follow up.

Every Thursday we celebrate our collective silence with half hour silent meditation, inspirational reading, sharing, and optional potluck afterward.
Meditation is a resource for inner strength and resilience to enable us to respond wisely to challenges in our lives, including those facing us in this era of peak oil, climate change and energy descent. This non-sectarian collecive meditation will draw on the insights and inspiration from various spiritual traditions to support personal meditation practice.
