We will study the elements and how they develop and aff ect one another in the body and mind, how imbalances occur and how to recognize them and change them. Understanding these concepts gives a logical and precise understanding of how to use the Assessment Tools- pulse, tongue, face, posture, hair, skin, etc.
1.1) course one - First Weekend Philosophy & the Elements History of how our environment is just like our surroundings The Chakras and Endocrine Gland How our emotional and physical personalities show themselves The Doshas Vata, Pitta & Kapha
1.2) course one - Second Weekend
Pushes and Blocks Elements effect each other Prana, Tejas, & Ojas Energy, Waste, and Immunity Fluids The Gunas Qualities of Vata, Pitta, Kapha creating individualism.

Diagnostics
Pulse Assessment Learn how to read rhythms, as used in Ayurvedic science Positions & rhythms Covers levels 1-7 on pulse
Assessment Tools Our bodies show us what we need to know. Reading face, tongue, skin, ears & more Pulse is taught daily.

Ayurvedic Aromatherapy, Herbs & Whole Food Nutrition
We will discuss traditional preparations and usage, what our bodies’ needs are, and how food is our best medicine. We will also be reading symptoms & learning which foods, essential oils & herbs to use per individual client.
2.1) course two - First Weekend
Six stages of Disease How to add up symptoms and stop an issue from continuing Ayurvedic Whole Food Nutrition Agni & Ama Learn the importance of metabolism and how toxicity occurs Digestive tract Digestive fi re & toxicity in the gut The Rasas The energy of food through learning the six tastes
2.2) course two - Second Weekend Ayurvedic view of protein, fats & carbohydrates The need for adequate and balanced energy Enzymes & the medicinal value of spices metabolic fuel, proteins that build & cleanse Fats
EFAs vs. saturated fats
We will be in the kitchen cooking for part of this class.
2.3) course two - Third Weekend
Clinical Aromatherapy Th e physical and emotional aspects Essential Oils Application, toxicity, dosage, property, function & use Ayurvedic Elemental Chemistry How to use chemical constituents to know properties of plants Pulse continuation throughout class We will blend formulas and create remedies in class.

Ayurvedic Treatment, Bodywork & Application
We will explore the changes that are possible through Ayurvedic massage and Pancha Karma treatments. We will also discuss client relations- how to listen well and present options. This class is designed to prepare you to utilize all of your tools.
3.1) course three - First Weekend Traditional Blending techniques as an art form Understanding herbs as Hot, Cold, Wet & Dry Ayurvedic approach to carrier oils Choosing appropriate oils for clients The Dhatus The tissues in the body and how important they are
3.2) course three - Second Weekend
Nadis The autonomical nervous system Marmas pressure points Intersections in the nerve lines
3.3 course three - Third Weekend
Marma Chikitsa Lymphatic drainage massage How to change the tissues through massage techniques The Tools- hot rocks, compresses, cupping, etc. Tandem Massage (two practitioners) The support system for the client
10. course three - Fourth Weekend
Pancha Karma We will discuss client intake charts, the importance of listening, and how to build a clientele. We will work on clients and each other during this class. We will end with a client, during which we will tend to them physically and emotionally, and take them through the full Panch Karma process- assessments, pulse, cooking, preparations, and treatments (ghee eye bath, sweats, scrubs, etc.). Theory and when to administer various treatments will be covered as well as review and follow up.
